Olga Cooper
Olga Cooper, a resident of Wortley Village, London, Ontario, pursued encaustic art at Southampton Arts in 2013 and also with the late artist Andrea Bird at the Alton Mill Art Centre. Prior to this, Olga, a graduate of the University of Windsor and Windsor Teachers’ College, enjoyed careers as an elementary teacher, school board trustee, and real estate sales person.
Olga’s pieces are inspired by nature at her home in London, her cottage on Lake of Bays in Muskoka and a family farm in the Beaver Valley near Kimberley. She enjoys the versatility, the wonderful texture and the gentle aroma of heated beeswax used in the creation of encaustic art.
