Donna Andreychuk

Donna Andreychuk's work can be found in private collections worldwide and in numerous corporate collections. Her main interest is in the Canadian landscape, with plein air painting, playing an integral part in her working process. Her works leans towards abstraction. Many of her works are ornamental and appear to blend impressionism with hints of Canadian and Scandinavian landscape styles. Donna's unique brushwork gives her paintings their brilliance and animates the surface, energizing the picture plane with colour and vibrancy. ​ “I have a romantic notion of myself exploring the Canadian landscape one province at a time, with paint box in hand and a palette full of juicy oils. I enjoy plein air painting and feel that it keeps a landscape artist current and connected to the subject matter. The large studio paintings are created from and inspired by the small paintings done on location. Calling on only a fragment of colour or shape, the composition develops. I view my work as landscape-inspired expressionism.”
