Liane Bedard

Liane Bedard was born into a family of artists in Montreal, who nurtured her creativity and interest in drawing and painting. After completing her fine art studies, she had a 35-year career as a graphic artist, while continuing to paint and exhibit her work. During that time, she dedicated herself to painting in watercolour, a medium that has since become the primary focus of her practice. With a preference for the play of light and shadow, she works with transparent watercolour layered over detailed drawing to create clean and luminous works on paper.
