Julie (JM) Spence is an acrylic painter and mixed media artist, working on a variety of surfaces including canvas, board, and paper. She loves the playful use of colour and graphic forms to express emotion and movement. “I am drawn to the use of layered materials and mixed media to form representations of emotions, interactions, and space. I love colour and texture; I strive to create complex surfaces within each piece.”
