John Renaud
John Renaud was born in Sarnia, Ontario in 1970. John has been an active folk-art illustrator for many years while working professionally as a police officer. John has worked in a range of media that includes coloured pencil on paper, acrylics on wood and canvass, and over 25 wall murals. John illustrated the cover art for the annual Christmas issue of the London Police Association magazine, The Observer, for 16 years. After nearly 30 years in policing, he struggled to continue producing artwork when he was deeply affected by PTSD. Through ongoing treatment, John has improved in many aspects of his life and is slowly re-discovering the creative process through folk-art as well as music while learning to play the banjo. John found further creative outlets through writing and is the author of the book, A Troll in the House.
