Many years ago I was asked why I chose computer programming as a career and I answered that I wanted a career that would foster creativity and continuous learning. A few years ago I retired from that career yet still needed that creativity and learning challenge in my life. At that time I was extremely lucky to meet an incredible artist and teacher who became my friend and mentor as she introduced me to the pure enjoyment of acrylic painting. I have the further good fortune to have friends and family who are amazing photographers and allow me to used their photos as a reference for my paintings. I choose the photos that will stretch my ability and teach me to view the world around me with a new eye. I hope my paintings will also let you see or feel the world around us in a new way.
