Eric Brandsma

Working almost exclusively with hardwoods sourced from Canada, I seek to merge the natural world with human expression, allowing the grain of the wood to help dictate the flow and movement of each piece. I am drawn to the textures and forms in nature that shape over time— waves that crash and recede, the shifting lines of sand dunes, and curves that mark the passage of wind through landscapes. My work is a celebration of the fluidity found in nature.
