Elaine Ball

I grew up in a house where something was always being made. My mum sewed and knit, my dad cooked and did woodworking and my sister and I joined in.  When I was in my teens I knew I wanted to work with my hands, and went to Montreal to study costume and set design. With my love of fabric and textiles costume won, and I have worked in the costume industry for the last 40 years. When I have  time I sketch with my sewing machine and explore new techniques
