Berit Strasser

Art was a very important part of my experience growing up in Europe, immersed in the beautiful Swiss culture and educated in Waldorf schools that gifted me with a rich artistic experience. After immigrating to Canada my love for art took me to New Brunswick where I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts from Mount Allison University. My art is deeply inspired by my travels around the world, Nature and my inner spiritual journey. In my paintings, I explore moments of beauty and sublime from the mundane to the intangible of the unsee worlds, that transcend the individual stories we live to a deeper, universal human experience. Beauty is all around us if we open our eyes to it and become present in the experience of reverence. Currently, I am working out of my home studio in London, teach art at the Waldorf School and am deepening my explorations in the study of art therapy. Over the past 20 years, I have had the opportunity to exhibit and sell works in Ontario and New Brunswick and in Switzerland.
