Abel Gingerich

I use oil paint applied in thick loose strokes to bring pictures I take to life onto canvas. Some constant themes in my work are consumption and life experience.  Garbage is inescapable, My goal with this body of work is to take something discarded and damaged and transform it into something outside of its normal context.
