    • Biography

As an artist I have always been drawn to natural history and to the finishes of antique books. The antique books fascinate me with their rich earthy colors, developed by years of handling, and the worn gold edges that are faded yet still managed to glow. In my painting I try to replicate these antique finishes, using them as a backdrop to my animal subject matter. The birds and animals in my artwork symbolize moments in my own personal journey, and I paint in a way that may also connect the viewer to their own story. I work many layers into my paintings to capture the complex colour and design of nature. My paintings encompass my love for these finishes and my love for animals.

I have a diploma in fine arts and graphic design and I have studied decorative finishes in France. I also attended Ontario College  of Art for Design to study encaustic painting. My artwork is in private collections across Canada, the United Kingdom, Dubai and the Turks and Caicos’s.
