    • Artist’s Statement

Beth is best known for her birds. She is a backyard birder. As she lives near Westminster Ponds, an Environmentally Significant Area (ESA) in southern Ontario, she has plenty of winged visitors. She has recorded 35 different species to date. Beth is fascinated by birds’ antics, tenacity, and beauty. She captures them in coloured pencil, a medium she enjoys for its controllability and versatility.

Born in Windsor, Beth is a graduate of the University of Windsor’s Fine Arts program. She has lived in London since 1977. She is a member of the Coloured Pencil Society of America, Canadian Coloured Pencil Artists, Lambeth Art Association, and the Gallery Painting Group.
